The decision to follow an undergraduate career in the USA is a very important decision in your life. That’s why we want to know everything about your interests and wishes, to make sure you have the best time when sporting and studying in the USA.

The deadline for the 2008 event is June 14th.

  1. Contact us via phone or by filling in our online enquiry form. We will then check if you are eligible for the programme and give you specific information as soon as possible.
  2. We will contact you and send you our contract, a sports reference form and application form. You will have to return this form together with a deposit of £ 150 and the following documents:
  • Medical release letter (ie medical certificate as well as a photocopy of a document specifying all vaccinations received & up to three sentences by a medical practitioner certifying that you are able to study abroad and generally in good health)
  • Present curriculum vitae (resume) indicating academic and extra-curricular activities (sports, arts, or others)
  • A level and /or International Baccaluareate (IB) certificate (original or certified copy) and for those wanting to transfer from a UK higher educational establishment, an authenticated record of University credits earned.
  • SAT test results. Many of our participating institution require SAT test results. Click here to read more about SAT
  • Secondary School grade average (per year and cumulative)
  • Two letters of recommendation from a teacher at your Secondary School (or equivalent) or a professor from your higher education college (from whom you are transferring credits).
  • Personal essay including the following items (maximum of two pages):
    • Why do I feel I deserve a scholarship?
    • What are my objectives in the USA?
    • What are my plans after completing my education?

  1. After receiving your student file we will contact you for a counselling interview. we will send all your information to our partner office in the USA
  2. Upon acceptence on the programme you will have to pay the remainder of the balance (£1,750)
  3. We will provide you with all further information and help you with making arrangements for attending the "International Showcase"
  4. Within 3 days after the International Showcase IDEA will send you a written report detailing all scholarships you got during the Showcase.
  5. You have to confirm receipt of the information to IDEA and have to select a scholarship:
  • within 5 days to if you want to start classes in the semester immediately after the showcase
  • before 5th September if you want to start at a later date.
  1. We will notify our USA office of your choice and put them in touch with you directly. They will guide you through the admissions process and help you with your visa application.
