Once you are at the university, they will provide you with basic medical coverage that will protect you while you are on campus. Given medical assistance without coverage is extremely costly in the U.S., it is recommended and often required by the university that you obtain additional insurance in order to be covered at all times. Another alternative is to obtain a plan through an extension of the health insurance you currently have, as many health insurance providers have alliances in the U.S.

Visa services

Because the UK is under Visa Waiver Program there is no need to have a Visa to attend the "International Showcase" if you are a United Kingdom passport holder.. After being selected by a university in the US, participants must apply for a student Visa in their countries of origin.

The University that awards a scholarship will require specific documentation that must be presented to formalize the admissions process. Once this information is provided, the university will present the student with an I-20 form, which must be presented to the U.S. Embassy in the student’s country of origin in order to obtain the student visa. It should be pointed out that, the university that offers the scholarship, will require the international student to process the student visa before initiating the first semester of study.
